Welcome to Niu Health for a New You! at Niu Health Chiropractic

Your Honolulu Holistic Doctor

Niu Health for a New You! goes beyond the singular efficacy of chiropractic, reiki and functional medicine to provide you a potent synergistic visit designed to support your evolution.

Niu Health for a New You! is an advanced healing arts practice, best for those who are ready to consider that their health challenges are a synchronistic opportunity to embrace change that can lead to greater health and well-being. Dr. Chris Teaño Lipat, DC is an intuitive practitioner who uses muscle testing/applied kinesiology to honor your body's specific needs while drawing from her expertise as a chiropractor, White Light/Karuna® Reiki Master, and Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner. Nutrition consultation is a key component alongside the gentle structural/fascial work, energetic clearing and balancing, emotional work and other important lifestyle recommendations conducted during your comprehensive one-on-one sessions with Dr. Chris.

Authentic healing is almost always accompanied by change and growth of consciousness - Dr. Larry Malerba, Green Medicine

Ready and open to next-level healing and self-healing work?

Dr. Chris supports those open to the ideas that nervous system imbalance, unresolved emotional stress, nutritional deficiencies and food sensitivities, immune compromise, spiritual/energetic blocks, and/or the accumulation of toxins, may contribute to the chronic pain, fatigue, weight/digestive problems, and/or other discomfort they experience daily. Rather than coming up with diagnoses and offering the latest fads to make you "feel" better, Dr. Chris provides a personalized, integrative approach at each visit to help you function better. And when you function better, you can heal.

If you have migraines, fatigue, digestive issues, fertility concerns, eczema, anxiety, food sensitivities, cold intolerance, brain fog, joint pain or other autoimmune/chronic conditions, consider a comprehensive, whole health approach incorporating strategies for cellular healing from the inside, out. We also welcome pregnant patients and new moms who want a comprehensive approach to maximizing their health and the health of their baby. Find out more about Dr. Chris' approach - read: The Total Stress Load Concept: Why Your Body May Not Be Healing Itself, Root Cause Healing, and Vagal Tone: at the Intersection of Chiropractic, Nutrition and Emotions

Imagine a place where you can get all of the following support:

  • gentle low-force spinal alignment and deep tissue percussive therapy to decrease nervous system stress and muscle tension,

  • a list of foods to avoid and foods to eat to decrease pain and inflammation and maximize health

  • valuable information for your health and the health of your family.

Niu is the Polynesian term for coconut, also known as niyog (Philippines, Guam) or nu (Chuuk, Cook Islands). The coconut palm has been called the tree of life by Filipinos. In Sanskrit, the tree is kalpa vriksha, which means “the tree which provides all the necessities of life,” and in Malay it is pokok seribu guna, or “tree of a thousand uses.”  In Hawaiian legend, the coconut tree is “the stretching tree with magical powers,” “the bridge between humans and gods, earth and heaven, child and ancestors.”

  • Dr.
    Chris Teaño Lipat
    Chiropractor

Dr. Chris Teaño Lipat, holistic chiropractor, Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, and Reiki Master based in Honolulu, HI, discovered the value of chiropractic combined with nutrition and energy work during her own healing journey. After 12 years as a dedicated, full-time staff and volunteer board member for various social justice organizations in New York City, she experienced burnout and its consequences. Activist mentors introduced her to the restorative effects of reiki, yoga and acupuncture, and she was quickly hooked on the philosophies of nurturing the inner healer.
